Angus, Scotland- Where the Mountains Meet the Sea
The county of Angus has three areas of land. There is the mountainous land in the north and west that is known by the Angus Glens that reside there and relies on hill farming. On the south and east you will find hills that roll directly into the sea and is a heavy fishing area. The middle section is a valley that is home to much agriculture and the well known Angus cattle. The three combine to make a landscape where the mountains meet the sea in a steady decline. Sitting on the north shore of the River Tay, Angus is bordered by the North Sea and the Grampian Mountains. Among this rich agricultural land sits an astounding amount of history. It is enough to help any traveller find something to do while on holiday.
