Sanderson, Morgans Hotel Group – a stylish hotel in the centre of London which was built in the 1950s. The spa menu features alternative treatments such as Indian Head Massage, Shiatsu and Reflexology and traditional spa treatments such as sea-salt exfoliation. The Spa is renowned for the Agua Milk and Honey, an Ayurvedic-based massage using a specialized blend of warm honey, sesame oil, and milk. There is also a central relaxation lounge and private relaxation suites.
Ultra-modern workout equipment is available 24 hours a day with personal trainers on hand, and yoga and other fitness classes are held in the gym or, on nice days, in the garden. Babysitting services are available through the concierge.
GleneaglesHotel in Auchterarder, Scotland – Probably more famous for the three championship golf courses, this location offers a 1,905 square metre spa including the delicious Purva Karma a four hand massage performed by two synchronized therapists. There is a sauna, crystal steam room and Arctic showers as well as the usual spa treatment using ESPA products. For children from 3 upwards there is a supervised play room for which the first two hours are complimentary with extensions or other activities available for a fee.
The Grove, Hertfordshire – Formally the home of a British nobleman The Grove sits in 300 acres of parkland and woodland. The Sequoia spa features 13 treatment rooms offering a variety of beauty, body and skin-care treatments using ESPA products. There is an indoor black mosiac-tiled swimming pool, a crystal steam room and Jacuzzi, a vitality pool with saline water and hydro jets, experience showers, and fitness and exercise studios. Feature rooms with four poster beds are available. Kids can find adventure at the day nursery, which includes an indoor pool, outdoor playground, and organized activities such as face painting and teddy bear picnics.
Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa, Chippenham - A 17th-century Palladian estate set amid 500 acres of parkland and lush garden settings in the Wiltshire countryside, a few miles from the city of Bath. The 2,000 square metre spa features nine treatment rooms including two deluxe room and a dual room, a salon and a boutique. There is also a 20-meter indoor swimming pool, an indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy pool, five thermal cabins–Japanese Salt, amethyst room, aromatic steam, sauna, and tepidarium–a saltwater plunge pool, and experience showers.You need to ensure that you book your spa treatments in advance. There are lots of activities for you and your children to enjoy including an outdoor activity playground and a large equestrian centre where lessons can be booked in advance.
